Allyson Felix
Allyson Nicole Felix was born on November 18, 1985, at Los Angeles. The father of the child, Paul Felix is an ordained minister in the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. As for her mother, Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix displayed an early talent for sports when she was studying at Los Angeles Baptist High School. She discovered her sprinting talent at that at the time. After only 10 weeks after her initial attempt, she was second in the 200-meter race at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix was signed to professional work with Adidas in 2003, and later enrolled in University of Southern California to take classes in elementary school. Felix took home her first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics held at Athens Greece. She established a Junior World Record by sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. She was the youngest world champion in the 200m in the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007, beating the long-time Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix was a frequent competitor in London, Beijing Rio de Jaeiro, and Tokyo. She was consistently in the top three of all events.
